The name of the person, fake address, description and different photos may be used. Also, the same set of photos may be used under different names. Most known Russian scams always use the same groups of different names and photos. Photos used in a scam not necessarily belong to the Russian scammers, and may be simply downloaded from the Internet or taken from another clipart source.

Russian Scam (also known as Russian Woman Scam, Russian Bride Scam or Russian Dating Scam) is a widespread using a criminal scheme and many people have suffered from them, emotionally and monetarily. You meet someone over the Internet and this someone claims to be a beautiful Russian woman (or Ukrainian, Belarusian and etc). You correspond with this person, often it's a man, not a woman, a pretender and one day (sometimes in few days, sometimes in few months) they are asking you to send money to buy a visa and airplane tickets to come to visit you, or to help her poor mother "who is very ill and in hospital" etc. Needless to say, once you send money this person disappears or may ask you for more money transfers.
We are not providing you with a detailed anti-scam manual. The real goal is to provide you with a quickly updated database of names, email addresses and street addresses known scammers have used. As a flower delivery service partner we are usually first to know about new aliases used by scam people. ALL addresses and names used here come from the database of our attempted deliveries, if you see some name here then we had an order to this person /to this address/ and the address turned out to be bogus when our florist attempted to deliver the flowers. Or you can see our finished delivery album with no scam photos.
If you meet someone on the Internet and have never met this person face to face, please check our scam list before placing your order. We check the person you’re interested in and send her a flower from you.Quick Russian scammer check test
(these indicated signs are not enough to protect yourself from being scammed, they are just some possible alarm signals. Please read the whole topic about dating scams)The person is contacting you (most of the Russian scammers look for their 'victim' on (free) post-your-profile dating sites where men and women freely can post their ad without being checked/verified by a human being). The person tries to impress you very much. The person writes in fairly well in EnglishThe person falls in love with you (very quick, sometimes even within 2, 3 weeks or earlier). The person wants to visit you (which is NOT possible for at least US & Canada and for other western countries without personal involvement of your country's Embassy). The person lost her job or needs medical support and needs money for herself or their ill mother, etc.The person uses an Internet cafe and needs money (sometimes the “manager” of an Internet cafe is even contacting you to help her). The person has no postal address or phone number to reach her. Question’s about personal information that you can verify are not very welcome and she will try to avoid or ignore those questions, or tell you that this is not important for you to know. The person is avoiding or not answering your specific questions (which you ask to know her better). If you ask specific questions and the person doesn't want to answer them, the person often starts to ask new questions in return, with the purpose of changing the subject (that the person doesn't want to talk about). The person will be offended or feels insulted when asking personal questions or proof that can lead to her real identification. The person avoids the subject to meet her in her country or tells you that she should visit you.The person needs more money for her visa or tickets to visit you because her own savings are not enough and a local travel office can help her with that. Remember - single Russian women NEVER can get a visa without your personal involvement and NEVER can get a visa to travel to the US (for example) as a tourist. If the person you’re interested in falls into more than half of these categories – it is a possible Russian scammer.I use the words “the person” on purpose, because most of these Russian scammers are men pretending to be Russian woman and who are using stolen photos from professional models or women from real agencies.
There are so many single beautiful women and so many Dating Agencies. Are they all real and above all, reliable?
Sure! I can say 99.5% (according to reliable sources). But this still means that it could be possible to come across one of the 0.5%. As we know, some web dating agencies have over 20.000 profiles, however this is not a reason to find a scammer inside this Agency, it only gives you an impression how many profiles you can find on the world wide web.
So, the chance is present, but if you prepare yourself in a proper manner, and use our Russian scam check, if your not sure about your choice.
Then your risk of being scammed can be reduced to almost zero.
